We develop new writing for theatre. Fuelled by passion for love, freedom, cigarettes and alcohol. And most importantly, the search for truth.

hailtothepeople are a newly formed collective of theatre-makers creating and developing work with a focus on new writing and devising. Poll Function is their first production as a company.


Greg Shewring is an actor, writer and musician. His credits include: Skins (E4), Scumbag (Wardrobe Theatre), Penny in the Well (Polish Club), Left After Orbit (Tobacco Factory Theatre) and Bench as part of MAYFEST’s Off The Peg programme. He has received critical acclaim for his one man show Guttermouth at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and is an associate artist of The Wardrobe Ensemble.

Theo St. Claire is an actor/director who recently graduated from Drama Centre London. He was nominated Best Male Performer at Suceava International Theatre Festival 2014 and was a Best Actor Nominee at St. Albans International Film Festival 2015. Theo is currently performing in Emma Rice's Twelfth Night at Shakespeare's Globe. His credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream: A Play for the Nation (Royal Shakespeare Company), Guerrilla (Sky Atlantic/Showtime), The Tunnel II (Sky Atlantic) and New Blood (BBC).

Jon Pascoe is an actor/filmmaker who recently graduated from the MA Screen course at Drama Centre London. He was a longtime member of Bristol Old Vic Young Company. He wrote, co-produced and starred in 'Copita', which was selected for the Short Film Corner at Cannes International Film Festival 2015.


Elliot Winter is an actor and theatre-maker that recently graduated from the Oxford School of Drama. Before training as an actor he took part in the Made in Bristol Project at the Bristol Old Vic after being a longstanding member of their Young Company.


Layla Lagab is a theatre technician currently studying at Royal Central School of Speech & Drama on the BA Lighting Design course.
